Actuarial Conference: Are we heading towards artificial actuaries?
On December 14, 2017, 150 French actuaries met in Paris to discuss the future of the actuarial profession in view of the development of artificial intelligence.
This event was the third annual actuarial conference organized jointly by SCOR and the Institute of Actuaries. The theme for 2017 was “Are we heading towards artificial actuaries? Will artificial intelligence revolutionize the actuarial profession?”
The objective of this conference was to understand how artificial intelligence is progressively shaking up our business sectors – insurance, finance and the actuarial profession.
Will actuaries one day be replaced by machines and algorithms? 17 experts encouraged reflection on this question by speaking about various associated issues.
