On 18 December 2015, SCOR Investment Partners, the SCOR group’s portfolio management company, was named “Global Institutional Investor of the Year” for its infrastructure debt management by Project Finance International (PFI, Thomson Reuters group).
This prestigious award confirms SCOR Investment Partners’ position in the world of infrastructure financing projects, as well as the company’s commitment on the private debt markets. The jury highlighted SCOR Investment Partners’ ability to participate in major transactions and to construct balanced, diversified and profitable portfolios for institutional investors.
Through its first infrastructure debt fund, “SCOR Infrastructure Loans” (EUR 315 million), launched in 2013, the company has participated in emblematic projects such as financing the construction and operation of the number 5 metro line in Milan, refinancing the A63 motorway in France, refinancing the Alpha Trains Group in Germany and financing the construction and operation of solar plants and an offshore windfarm in the Netherlands.
Since the end of August 2015, SCOR Investment Partners has been marketing a new fund investing in the financing of infrastructure and renewable energy projects in Europe: SCOR Infrastructure Loans II. The strategy of this “loan fund for the economy” (fonds de prêt à l’économie or FPE) is designed to construct a portfolio that is diversified in terms of geography, sector, project size and structure type.
