Is this the end of e-mails? Well, not quite yet, but we are making a big step in that direction.
Technology has made huge strides in what we do today, how we manage our data, and with whom we share that data. Its speed of transformation is ever-accelerating, exposing us to unprecedented benefits but also an unknown magnitude of complexity and risks. How can we best manage this complexity and those risks while still benefiting from all the great advantages of technology?
With this in mind, we have been reviewing the way we receive our data from our valued customers - you. As a result, we have developed a new online Portal that allows easier and more secure data transfer to SCOR. To add the extra icing on the cake, it is completely GDPR compliant.
I won’t go into the detail here, but some of the key highlights are below:
- It allows instant transfer of secure data between your company and SCOR SE, in both directions
- It is fully GDPR-compliant, minimising potential operational and compliance risks at both ends
- Our superior security system means there is no need for encrypted / password protected files to be sent to SCOR SE via the Portal
- It enables the transfer of larger files and facilitates 2-way communication between user groups (i.e., you, your teams and SCOR)
You may already be aware of these benefits, as we have been successfully rolling it out and delivering the Portal to many of your Technical Accounting and Underwriting Teams.
Where do we go from here? The next phase is to deliver the benefits of this Portal to your Claims Teams. I will be getting in touch and, hopefully, visiting you in person to explain and demonstrate how this Portal enhances your business and how we can implement it. The good news is that many of your Technical Accounting and/or Underwriting Teams are already using our Portal. This means it has already passed all your company’s IT and security checks and requirements. So there should be no worries – the implementation should not be too burdensome to you.
